The 1911 Revolution, or the Xinhai Revolution, began with the Wuchang Uprising on October 10, 1911 and led to the fall of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) and the establishment of the Republic of China (1912-1949).

Note: The exhibition, which was first staged in 2007 and was again shown to celebrate the 60th anniversary of New China's founding in late-2009, reopened at the National Museum of China on March 1, 2011 and is a permanent display at the museum.
