Nik Gu, a Russian youth who has lived in China for nearly two decades, has been an active presence in the activities of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). "Shanghe (SCO) and I are of the same age." He told China Daily. As he puts it, "Over the years, I've witnessed the SCO family growing and expanding continuously."

Gu's connection with the SCO originated from a simulated SCO meeting in 2020, where Nik was awarded the Best Position Paper. Since then, the SCO has been closely linked to his life. "Meeting the heads of state on my first participation in the event", "presiding over the expansion of the SCO member states", "exchanging with diplomats from various countries" are just a few of the experiences that excite him when reflecting on his journey with the SCO.

Nik also expressed his sincere hopes for the SCO's future, "I hope that the SCO will continue to open its doors and become a global cross-regional organization, representing the voices of the vast majority of countries in the world."
