The city’s famous sightseeing spots, such as Hongya Cave, Guo Tai Arts Center and the Liberation Monument, have become a background for their street dance.
“We want to share our passion for street dance and our love for our hometown with the people,” said Cai Zhuangnan, team leader of local dance group Buqi.
“We are also proud our videos help promote the city.”
They uploaded their shows on short video application Douyin and quickly attracted about 1.5 million fans. So far, their videos have been played over 100 million times.
Many fans said they wanted to visit Chongqing after watching their videos.
The dance group chooses to film at night, to avoid big crowds at those tourist sites. The mountain city is also well-known for its fantastic night views.
