Basketball has taken Stephon Marbury all over the globe. The all-star point guard played for five different franchises during a 12-year NBA career.

He also was a member of Team USA in the 2004 Olympics in Athens, Greece, and he currently makes a living playing in the Chinese Basketball Association. But make no mistake about it, he's a New Yorker first and foremost.

So while the Knicks weren't world-beaters during his time as a pro in the Big Apple, Starbury had no problem Wednesday expressing his displeasure with the current team occupying Madison Square Garden.

Marbury's critique included his response to learning Carmelo Anthony told a fan to ask Knicks owner James Dolan for his money back after the Trail Blazers downed New York by 19 at MSG on Tuesday.

Then, Marbury took the Knicks' front office to task.

He also said Dolan will sell the team in due time.

Marbury played five tumultuous seasons for the Knicks from 2004-09 before having his contract bought out. He has won three CBA titles and been named an all-star six times since joining the league in 2010, and if you let the 39-year-old tell it, three NBA teams were interested in him, but he turned them down.

The Knicks (25-37) were .500 after 44 games, but have since lost 15 of their last 18. They face the Celtics on the road Saturday at 7:30 pm.
