SXU holds seminar on philosophy of biology

Shanxi University (SXU) held the eighth national seminar on the philosophy of biology on Oct 20 and 21, with more than 50 scholars from top domestic universities attending the event.
The seminar focused on five themes, including ethical issues at the frontiers of life sciences, research on the frontiers of contemporary philosophy of biology, as well as cognitive philosophy and artificial intelligence. In total the two-day seminar consisted of 27 lectures.
The event aimed to further academic communication in related fields, encourage more scholars to conduct research in those fields, and boost research into the philosophy of biology.
