Laoshan Mountain is building an ancient-style pavilion that will face the sea near Taiqing Palace, a southern scenic spot on Laoshan Mountain, Qingdaonews.com reported on March 6.

The nearly 13-meter high stone pavilion, which is embraced by trees in the south of Taiqing Square, covers an area of 120 square meters. It will be built in an architecture style originated from the Ming Dynasty (AD 1368-1644) and Qing Dynasty (AD 1644-1911). The pavilion will be completed and will serve as a new landmark on Laoshan Mountain before May 1.

The Laoshan Mountain scenic spot is now looking for a name for the pavilion. The name should be elegant, culture-based and unique.

The finalists will get 20 free tickets to Laoshan Mountain, and the winner’s name will be carved on the stele in the pavilion.

The activity will end on March 20. Please go to www.qdlaoshan.cn for further information.
