Ethiopian high officials visits GD-3 project

On March 15, Eshetu Dessie, advisor to the Ethiopian prime minister; Aleymayehu Tegenu, Ethiopian energy minister; and board members of the Ethiopian Electric Power Corporation visited the construction site of the GD-3 project undertaken by CGGC in Ethiopia.
They inspected the construction sites of TBM equipment, the underground power house, the dam, the spillway tunnel and the water intake. As a national key project in Ethiopia, GD-3, when put into operation, will significantly ease the country's power shortage, so the Ethiopian central government attaches great importance to this project, Eshetu Dessie said.
He expressed his satisfaction with the construction quality and progress, especially of the dam and the underground powerhouse, saying that this has fully demonstrated the strength of CGGC as an internationally renowned contractor. The Ethiopian high official hopes that CGGC will redouble its efforts to ensure timely completion of the project.
