Vice President Liu meets with Biogen Idec delegation

On March 24th, Vice President Liu Shijin met with a delegation of Biogen Idec, a US biotechnology company, headed by its CEO, Mr. George Scangos. Mr. Scangos briefed Dr. Liu and his colleagues on the products and global operations of the company. Both sides had a discussion on issues of the development of biological technology and the healthcare system in China. Dr. Gong Sen, Deputy Director General of Research Department of Social Development, Mr. Lan Weiban, Deputy Director General of International Cooperation Department, Mr. Wei Jigang, Research Fellow of Research Department of Social Development，and Mr. Zhang Hongfei, Program Officer of International Cooperation Department of DRC, were present at the meeting.
