On July 6, DRC President Zhang Yutai met with Prof. Jeffrey D. Sachs, Director of the Earth Institute at Columbia University. Prof. Sachs introduced his research proposals to the relevant Chinese organizations. Both sides exchanges views on the possible joint research on strategic issues in the next few decades concerning population, resources, environment, etc. in China and around the world.
