“雜交水稻”怎么說(shuō)

“五一”前，在美國(guó)科學(xué)院評(píng)選出的18位外籍院士中，中國(guó)科學(xué)家“世界雜交水稻之父”袁隆平和納米技術(shù)專(zhuān)家白春禮共同膺選此榮。目前，中國(guó)已有六位科學(xué)家當(dāng)選為美國(guó)科學(xué)院外籍院士。

由報(bào)道可知，“雜交水稻”相應(yīng)的英文表達(dá)為“hybrid rice”。在生物學(xué)詞匯中，“hybrid”指“adj.&n.雜交（的）、混合（的）”，如：The hybrid from a donkey and a horse is called a mule.（驢和馬交配所生的物種叫騾）；The hybrid basketball team represents two universities.（這支混合籃球隊(duì)代表兩個(gè)大學(xué)。）
此外，我們常說(shuō)的“混血兒”也可用“hybrid”來(lái)表達(dá)。
