北京時間29日凌晨,雅典殘奧會落下帷幕。中國代表團(tuán)異軍突起,以63塊金牌和141塊獎牌的絕對優(yōu)勢高居榜首,英國和美國分列第二和第三。中國運動員的優(yōu)異表現(xiàn)成為本屆賽會最大的亮點,這也標(biāo)志著殘奧會長期由西方國家占據(jù)優(yōu)勢的局面被一舉打破。

然而,27日的一起重大交通事故為殘奧會閉幕式蒙上了一絲陰影,一輛公車在載一批師生赴雅典觀賽的途中與一輛運載玻璃的卡車相撞并起火,至少7名高中生當(dāng)場死亡,12人受重傷。外電報道如下:The Paralympic Games have been overshadowed by a tragic road accident that claimed the lives of seven high school students who were travelling to Athens to attend the competitions.
