口語(yǔ)中叫人不要驚慌有：Don't go hitting the panic button的說(shuō)法：Don't go hitting the panic button, I'm sure you can solve the problem with a little rational thought。勸朋友遇到什么問(wèn)題時(shí)不要驚慌，認(rèn)為他略作理智地考慮定能解決問(wèn)題。Hit (push) the panic button亦作press the panic button，但press似乎沒(méi)有hit那么慌張。有時(shí)人們會(huì)開(kāi)玩笑地把各種各樣的按鈕叫作panic button。此外，如果一個(gè)人頭腦有問(wèn)題，我們說(shuō)他：He has a few buttons missing，掉了幾個(gè)“按鈕”，不靈了。
