Maggie Cheung granted Golden Souvenir Badge of Paris

The Palme d'Or-winning Hong Kong actress, Maggie Cheung, has been granted the Golden Souvenir Badge of Paris from the Mayor of Paris.

The mayor says Maggie's fame is not just about her beauty, but about her inner elegance and mature acting. China Radio International reported Friday.

As a Chinese living in France, she is a symbol of cultural exchanges between China and France.

A small ceremony was held in the town hall of Paris for the acclaimed actress and attended by many officials and friends.

Maggie Cheung is the ex-wife of the renowned French director Olivier Assayas and has lived in Paris since 1998.
