Qingdao launches colorful events to toast with world
Qingdao's summer is set to sizzle with over 2,300 activities, inviting all to raise a glass to the world.
The 35th Qingdao International Beer Festival will bring colorful events including art parades, electronic music festivals, street performances, and fireworks markets to the Qingdao West Coast New Area, Laoshan district, and the old town.
During the summer, Qingdao will host 10 concerts, 60 themed performances featuring stars like Lu Han and Stefanie Sun, alongside the Tencent JUMP PARK music festival. Hosting the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Member States Arts Festival opening ceremony and youth singing event, Qingdao presents the SCO Summer carnival and other cultural and tourism activities.
This summer, Qingdao will host a summer art lantern festival, the largest in northern China, as well as various performances like Qingdao on the Sea and Dreaming in the Vast Sea, inviting tourists from across the globe to experience the electrifying summer of Qingdao, where culture, music, and the ocean breeze create unforgettable memories.
Additionally, the city will roll out eight major initiatives to boost cultural and tourism consumption, offering special funds for immersive cultural tourism scenes, accommodation, dining, and inbound tourism. It will also introduce a series of measures to boost consumption, including a plan to distribute 10 million yuan ($1.4 million) worth of cultural and tourism consumption vouchers covering scenic spots, cultural venues, performances, and movies.
