Jiangsu Namibia College (Zhenghe College) in Nantong, Jiangsu province, hosted its 2025 Teaching Team Work Report Meeting on June 24.
The event gathered university leaders, teaching team members, and department heads to discuss the college's development.
The meeting focused on speeding up project implementation, enhancing management mechanisms, tailoring teaching reforms to African students' needs, and improving cross-cultural communication skills.
It also evaluated the progress since its founding in 2023, which includes curriculum development and robust backing from officials in Jiangsu and Namibia. Moving forward, the focus will be on maintaining high standards, emphasizing localization, and strengthening government-corporate partnerships.
In 2023, Nantong Vocational University partnered with the African Institute of Innovation and Technology to establish the Jiangsu Namibia College in Namibia. The college started enrolling students in 2024, with majors including internet of things, mechanical engineering, and architecture.
