Li congratulates new Mongolian PM
Premier Li Qiang sent a congratulatory message to Mongolia's new Prime Minister Gombojav Zandanshatar on Wednesday, expressing hopes to further elevate China-Mongolia ties.
The two countries are important neighbors to each other, the premier said. Under strategic guidance by President Xi Jinping and Mongolian President Ukhnaa Khurelsukh, bilateral ties have witnessed steady and sound development in recent years, benefiting people of the two countries and contributing to regional peace and stability, Li said.
China hopes to work with Mongolia to build a community with a shared future, strengthen political mutual trust, better align their development strategies, and expand exchanges and cooperation in various fields, he said.
Premier stresses innovation during Jiangsu tour
Premier Li Qiang wrapped up a three-day fact-finding tour in Jiangsu province on Wednesday, underscoring the importance of innovation-driven development to ensure steady and sound economic growth.
During the visit, Li traveled to Xuzhou and Nanjing, inspecting enterprises, research institutes, construction sites and trade cooperation platforms to gain a clearer picture of the local economic landscape.
At BSH Household Appliances Co in Nanjing, Li urged the company to take advantage of supportive policies to develop more high-quality products and services, aiming to further unleash consumer potential.
He reaffirmed China's commitment to welcoming foreign businesses and investors, pledging continued efforts to foster a favorable environment for global enterprises operating in the country.
While visiting the Jiangsu Central Asia Center, Li reviewed trade and economic cooperation endeavors between China and Central Asian nations. He highlighted the need to make better use of platforms such as the China-Europe Railway Express and cross-border e-commerce to deepen Belt and Road cooperation and promote mutual benefit.
Top political adviser stresses development of sci-tech
China's top political adviser Wang Huning on Wednesday stressed the need to deepen research on the integrated development of scientific and technological innovation with industrial innovation, highlighting its crucial role in advancing Chinese modernization.
Wang, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, made the remarks during a symposium where the central committees of some non-CPC parties presented their research outcomes.
Wang said that promoting the integration of sci-tech innovation with industrial innovation is conducive to fostering new quality productive forces, advancing high-quality development and building an innovative country.
