The petrochemical industry in Northeast China is a key part of the region's traditional industrial base. The industry has been restructuring to reduce its reliance on oil processing while increasing the production of chemicals and specialty products. By extending and strengthening its value chain, the industry is making steady progress towards high-quality development.
