The Palestinian statehood process has encountered numerous obstacles over the years, but the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict has prompted a gradual shift in the stance of major European nations. Spain, Ireland, and Norway have officially recognized the State of Palestine, setting off a domino effect. Slovenia soon followed, becoming the 10th European Union nation to recognize Palestine. Meanwhile, China has consistently supported the restoration of the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, irrespective of international developments.
