Participants hailing from prestigious institutions like Hong Kong University, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and Hong Kong Polytechnic University visited esteemed counterparts in Beijing. Notable stops included Peking University, the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences in Huairou district, and a rendezvous with cutting-edge tech innovators at Baidu Inc. This immersive experience aimed to foster the exchange of talents and ideas in these dynamic fields.

In addition to their academic pursuits, the delegates also delved into the rich cultural heritage of Beijing, with visits to iconic landmarks such as the Palace Museum. These outings served as a bridge between tradition and modernity, allowing them to witness the interplay of history and the future.

Reflecting on their visit, the students expressed that this event had ignited their passion for academic research and deepened their confidence in the development of the Chinese mainland. They eagerly anticipate even closer collaboration between Hong Kong and Beijing in the future, emphasizing the potential for synergy in talent and resources in both regions.

This enriching experience was part of the inaugural "Beijing Tour for Hong Kong Talents," a collaborative effort between the Beijing Overseas Talents Center and the Hong Kong Alumni Association of Beijing Universities. In addition to the cultural exchange, a symposium was held, bringing together outstanding young representatives from Beijing and Hong Kong under the theme of "Uniting Youth for Beijing-Hong Kong Cooperation." During this event, participants explored strategies to harness their unique strengths for the promotion of talent exchange and cooperation between the two regions.
