Shanghai was once again considered the most attractive city for talents in 2019, according to a ranking published by Evergrande Research Institute and hiring platform Zhaopin on Tuesday.

This is the third consecutive year that Shanghai has been ranked first.

The ranking, which is based on data submitted by job applicants on Zhaopin, shows Shenzhen, Beijing and Guangzhou in the second, third and fourth places respectively.

The ranking also shows that 24.5 percent of domestic students and 28.7 percent of those who graduated from overseas universities apply for jobs in these four cities, the report of the ranking said.

The other Chinese cities that made it to the top 10 are Hangzhou, Nanjing, Chengdu, Jinan, Suzhou and Tianjin.
