The story of Martha Bielefeldt, a German girl who loved Snow White and grew up to marry a Chinese medical student "Mr Right" might sound like a fairy tale but it has a truly happy ending, now that the couple has decided to set up a medical center in the Yingkou free-trade zone in response to President Xi Jinping's Belt and Road Initiative.

The couple married in the coastal city in Northeast China and now have a 3-year-old daughter. They say they want to bring German medical know-how to the area, and take traditional Chinese medicine to Germany.
